Tumblr sure is a confusing place to blog.
I’ve read countless posts with walls of text explaining why tagging your hate for something is stupid because NNOBDODY CAYRES! Well, if nobody cares then one would logically come to the conclusion that tagging their hate wouldn’t matter much since nobody cares. Huh.
Another thing to note is the posting of unsourced art from Pixiv. Boy oh boy is that greatly hated. I mean, if you have ever made the mistake of not posting the source to a picture you found a few months ago and thought, “Gee, this is a nice picture, I bet a lot of people would like to see it.” then you certainly know what I’m talking about. And now there are artists from Pixiv saying they don’t want their art posted anywhere other than Pixiv even if it is sourced and credited.
Re-posts are also hated. Re-posting is like, If you see something and download it, then upload it to tumblr… Wait, don’t we all do that to Pixiv artists’ work? Oh that’s right. It’s okay if you post the source. Anyway-
If you post something you found on another person’s blog or website and do not credit them, people threaten to cut your throat in your sleep and stab you and ect.
Funny thing is- the very same people talk about how easy it is to find the source for something. Like, USE SAUCENAO AND IT’S NOT THAT HARD TO POST THE SOURCE OMGG GAIS. Well if it’s that easy… why not do it yourselves? You know how to find the source, and you’ve got the picture the person that didn’t source it posted… So repost it with the source. Or how about politely (That means “in a kind manner”) informing the person that did not post the source that you’ve found the source and would be more than happy to give it to them so they don’t make the same mistake again instead of threatening to murder them in horrific ways?
